hmmmmmm. i am not sure if ths story is real or not but i want to believe that it is. the photos of the people who witnessed the orb are really scary -- looks like they all know something. the black and white of the book also makes it all very mysterius and spooky. i have never been to chatham massachusetts by i have been to hyannis where the kennedys are on cape cod.

This HAS to be real or else the book would not be made. What I mean is they could do the book any way -- as fiction or as reality -- but the way this story is done with the artwork and the mysterious story, I cannot imagine them going to all the trouble if the story was not really true. When you look at the web site, there is so much information to go through. No matter what, this is a very unique story that is so creepy!

it WOULD say 'ORB COUNZ' ... but only IF that was the true translation (which it is not). Look at the picture more carefully -- it's a coin, alright -- but don't assume it's US currency -- and as far as a "zeppelin"? you can do better than that. have fun!

dumb and dummer: stick with it. thousands of people have worked to unlock the code and have done so. it just takes savvy, patience and working through it all in a methodical manner. let us know when you get inside.

of COURSE you can. the ONLY time you will receive a "page not found" message is when you have inputted an incorrect numerical answer. you must input the CORRECT answer to the code. just work the clues carefully, input the correct answer, and you'll be rewarded. trust me, you'll KNOW when you have cracked the code.

Stick with it, oh fellow four of Chatham. You WILL get it. In the meantime, I have to run out and pistol-whip my editor for missing that typo!!!!!! ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ps: you can pick out the a typographic error in ONE lousy word on a flap but you CAN'T solve this riddle? what is WITH you people!?

holding the book in your hands is essential in two ways:

1: you must look at the art in the book to solve the clues. you cannot solve the riddles without the book.

2: the answer itself is encoded directly into the book. once you successfully come up with the answer to the riddles, look carefully at every printed surface in the book -- and you will then have an "AHA!" moment.

if you are still having problems, you are all welcome to come by and touch the 600lb replica of the orb of chatham that sits in my backyard. a number of people have reported that when they have touched the iron, they suddenly know the answer to the riddles without even holding the book.

ps: i've already said way too much here, but you four have caught me in a very, VERY charitable mood. the book speaks for itself, the printed pages and the web site working symbiotically to engage the reader

Glad you solved the riddles. All it takes is a little perseverance.

Now that you've gained access into the Orb and its mysteries lie before your eyes, click on 'the number' to learn more. it will creep you out. Then you'll want to look at the map provided in 'orb of the chatham' (the book). notice any encoded reference to the secret number? see -- it was right there before your eyes ALL the time.

You know what the secret code answer is, so look at the book -- from the cover to the end papers, the flaps to the spine -- and see if you notice anything odd. now that you've accessed the secret area, click on 'the number' and this will provide additional clues. it'll all make sense when you discover it.
