This web site has just entranced me. The art, the storyline, the music, the black and white -- just everything. You certainly know how to create a mood. The orb story is just frightening enough and the illustrations seem to take you into another dimension. I have been to Chatham once (in the 1990s), but had not heard of this legend. Bravo on creating such a beautifully mysterious book!

dumb and dummer: relax. just hold the book in your hands, answer the questions one by one, and if you're still not correct, try again. you can try unlocking the code as many times as you wish. it takes more patience for some, but literally thousands of people have unlocked the code. have fun!
I am new to this web page and that i own the book it's just that i can't seem to unlock the code. I'm certain of 4/5 of the riddles i'm just not sure what riddle 3 is but i'm pretty sure it is 4. Am I right?
I am a fully believer of the orb and that i'm pretty sure of my answers but i want to make sure that ican do it. so you are supposed to get a "this page cannot be displayed" or a little sorry try again on the same page of the riddles. If so i am not able to unlock the orb.
it's a number. either it's correct, or it's not. when you've input the correct number you'll definitely know -- if you input the wrong answer, you'll get an error message. it's as simple as that.
Absolutly love your book and your site, and the riddles and puzzles that compells you to keep going! Considering that i grew up in Chatham for the 1st 18yrs of my life and my family has deep roots there, i have to say that i have never heard of this entity that has been lurking over us.. But, i believe when something that is disturbing as this, its kept under closed doors for the sake of the quaint village that it is. I believe it, as i believe in supernatural and that we are not alone in this universe. My theory on this, is that the 5 new to much and what ever it is (alien or not) has been watching over Chatham noticed them (i could be wrong, theory). i have been thinking about those numbers 15-18-2, well, what if its a date? 2-18-15 (2015 or 1915) What if there are more people missing, not just the 5? they were significate cause of the exact day. But, what if there are more? I also saw the other clippings of orbs being found throughout the states, if were not alone, i believe that whatever is watching us has technology far beyond ours, and considering the time 1935 - we didn't have t.v. yet! What could have a large black metal orb floating and hovering if we didn't even have the technology to make that or maybe we did - Government! But, i have to say, now that i go visit my family in chatham, i will always think of this Orb now! One visit, i drove around those areas that it traveled about 11pm w/ my boyfriend and it gave me a new chill that i haven't experienced. Growing up, i had some weird experiences, like it raining on a beach were i was but didn't rain anywhere else, i was the only car wet, thunder and all! I find this really fastinating and i just want to know more! Thanks for bringing this to my attention, since iv known, my family has been interested!
